LICENSING TERMS

Non-Exclusive License

An existing print-ready design file in seamless repeat from my Pattern Library. Licensed for your category. It stays in the Pattern Library, and it can also be licensed to other brands in different categories or industries.

Non-exclusive licenses can be negotiated for a certain period. It can only be purchased once. If you don't reach out, the design goes back to my Pattern Library for others to buy. All designs by Malene Volf Munch are protected by copyright.

*Pricing is negotiable as a flat fee or on a royalty basis.

Exclusive License

An existing print-ready design file in seamless repeat from my Pattern Library. Exclusive Designs can only be purchased once per customer, and will be licensed to you on an exclusive basis with an agreed-upon licensing timeframe (e.g 24 months). Once the Exclusive Design has been purchased it will be removed from my Pattern Library. At the end of the exclusive licensing period, you will have the option to contact me to either renew or terminate the license. If the license is not renewed, the Exclusive Design will revert back into the Pattern Library and become available for purchase to other parties. All designs by Malene Volf Munch are protected by copyright.

Buy Out

You purchase an existing print design outright for your exclusive use only. Once the transaction is complete, the chosen design will be withdrawn from sale to ensure exclusivity. You get full ownership. I still reserve the right to display the design on my website (unless otherwise expressly agreed). All designs by Malene Volf Munch are protected by copyright.

*The price will be at least 50% higher for buy outs - according to complexity.

Basic Print Design

  • a simple surface design

  • 1-3 motifs in a basic layout

  • up to 4 colors

    €200 - 350 EURO

medium complex / hero print

  • a main print with detailed motifs

  • half-drop or scattered repeat

  • up to 16 colors

    €350 - 600 EURO

complex / premium print

  • a highly intricate pattern

  • multiple detailed motifs

  • multiple colors and shading

    €600 - 1500 EURO

CUSTOM PRINT DESIGN

If you have special requirements or ideas, I can design unique patterns to align with your brand identity. You can expect to get my full attention to your ideas. Starting with an art brief, I will develop hand-made motifs and illustrations that will resonate with your target audience.

Together we will bring your vision to life

Tailoring custom designs will require an agreed-upon sketching fee to cover the drafting process involved.

Typically a 10-20% of the agreed one-time fee.
