MEET THE ARTIST

My name is Malene. I am a Danish visual artist based north of Copenhagen.

Since graduating from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts with a degree in fashion design, I have worked extensively in the fashion industry. I have always been curious about folklore and faraway cultures. This inspiration was awakened early in my childhood, by the handcrafted ceramics of Bjørn Wiinblad (crafted in his pottery workshop by close friends to our family) and also from fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen.

My design style is uniquely distinctive, imbued with a sense of nostalgia, and exudes sophistication.

In all collaborations I take pride in meeting all customers with great visual and conceptual understanding. It is my desire to create beautiful designs, that can enrich your products.
